Couple & Family Enrolments

Eligibility
Your Plan gives you the option to enrol your family (spouse and/or dependants) by completing an enrolment process and by paying an additional fee, over and above your individual fee as a Plan member. Common law and same-sex couples are eligible.

Deadlines
All enrolments must be completed during the Change-of-Coverage Period.

If you start school in the Fall, the Change-of-Coverage Period is from Aug. 28 - Sept. 16, 2009. If you’re a new student starting in January, the Change-of-Coverage Period is from Jan. 6 - 18, 2010.

Coverage is only for the current policy year. If you want to cover your dependants in subsequent policy years, you must renew your couple/family coverage during the Change-of-Coverage Period at the beginning of each school year.

How to Enrol
Fall Enrolment: Select 'Enrol Your Family Now' under 'Couple & Family Enrolments' from the Coverage menu to the left during the Change-of-Coverage Period to complete the enrolment process.

Winter Enrolment: New students beginning in January who wish to enrol their spouse and/or dependants for coverage from Jan. 1 - Aug. 31, 2010 must do so by completing the Enrolment Form, available at the Download Centre during the January Change-of-Coverage Period.
