Change-of-Coverage PeriodThe Change-of-Coverage Period is the period at the beginning of the semester when you can either opt out, or enrol your spouse and/or dependants in the Health & Dental Plan. If you are enrolled in the Fall semester, your Change-of-Coverage Period is from Aug. 23 - Sept. 27, 2012*. If you are a new student starting in the Winter semester, you can enrol yourself, your spouse, and/or dependants between Jan. 16 - 30, 2013* for coverage from Jan. 1 - Aug. 31, 2013.* Student strike: These dates apply regardless of your start date for these semesters. Your coverage will begin on Sept. 1, 2012 if you start school in the Fall and on Jan. 1, 2013 if you start school in the Winter. Due to changes that could arise from the student strike, it is possible that the Plan may not come into effect, that modifications may be made to it, or that it could be resiliated.
