Health BenefitsWho's Covered?• All full-time undergraduate students at Queen's• MBA students who start their 16 month program in May (they are covered as of May 1)• Full time international students paying Queen’s fees and on UHIPNote: These eligible students are automatically enrolled by being assessed the AMS Health and Dental Plan activity fee when they register (See the University "Blue Book").Please note that students and their dependants are not covered for out-of-province or out-of-country emergency services once they reach age 65. For more details, contact studentcare.net/works.Coverage for Your Spouse and Your DependantsYou can extend your coverage to your family (spouse and/or dependants) by enrolling them in the Plan and paying an additional fee, over and above your individual fee as a Plan member. Common law and same-sex couples are eligible. See the Couple & Family Enrolments section for details.Who's Not Covered?The following students are not automatically enrolled in the Plan, but may self-enrol before Oct. 31, 2009:• Part-time students• Students who come to Queens on exchange and who pay their home university’s fees• Students 65 years or older who are AMS members*• Students registered exclusively in correspondence, off-campus, or evening courses• Undergraduate Law students and Education students*Please note that the ADD benefit (insured by Sun Life) only covers students who are under age 70 and the Travel benefit (provided by Blue Cross) only covers students who are under age 65.The following students are not automatically enrolled, and are not eligible for coverage:• Graduate students• Theology studentsSee the Self Enrolment section or consult the AMS Web site for more information on enrolments.
