How to ClaimIn this section, you will find information on submitting claims.You can use your Plan benefits anywhere in the world. Reimbursements are in Canadian funds and are calculated at the exchange rate of the day the claim is processed. Reimbursement is limited to what the service would have cost if done in Canada. When applicable, claims will be coordinated with your provincial health-care coverage. Please make sure you submit detailed receipts for services performed while outside of the country.Note: Reimbursement is based on reasonable and customary fees.
Deadline for Claims SubmissionsHealth Claims Sun Life must receive health claims within 18 months of the date when the expense was incurred or no later than 90 days after your coverage ends, whichever is sooner. Dental Claims Sun Life must receive dental claims within 90 days after the end of the policy year or 90 days after your coverage ends, whichever is sooner. Travel Claims If you use any of your travel benefits, you must call Europ Assistance immediately to find out how and when to submit your claims.
